Wrong In-text Citation Style

Hello all,

I've just installed SAGE Harvard style, whose bibliography format is correct, but in-text format for non-authored entries is incorrect. While proper in-text format for non-authored newspaper article or reports should be (Newspaper, Year), Zotero enters (Article Title, Year)

How can I change this in-text citation error?
Thanks!

Can you post a link to the author guidelines showing this format? If the Zotero/CSL style conflicts with the official requirements at SAGE, we can fix the style for all users.
  • Of course - here's the link:

    https://studysites.uk.sagepub.com/repository/binaries/pdf/SAGE_Harvard_reference_style.pdf

    And one open-access sample:

    http://cac.sagepub.com/content/50/1/107.full.pdf+html
  • (confirmed, see rule 10)
  • Yup - Zotero's Sage Harvard style adds (Article Title, Year) - not (Newspaper, Year) as indicated in rule 10.
  • This is fixed -- I've mirrored this behavior in the bibliography. I think that's right (how else would you find the article in question) but there's unfortunately no clear guidance in the style's description.

The updated version will appear on the repository within 30mins (check the timestamp). Update your copy of the style by clicking "Update Now" in the General tab of the Zotero preferences.

Styles also update automatically within 24hs for Zotero 4.0+
In an existing document, you may have to switch to a different style and back for the changes to take effect once the style is updated.
Any further problems please let us know & thanks for reporting
  • Thanks much! First time I submitted to a journal with this format. Normally Zotero works perfect. I'll sync the new repository update!
