Change in shared library - sync error (problem solved)

Since yesterday, when somebody made changes to a shared library I have subscribed to, I experience serious syncing problems.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start Zotero.
2. Sync.
3. Zotero takes about 30 minutes to process updated data from sync server. [essentially hangs]
4. I then get the message: "Conflicts have suspended automatic syncing."
5. When I try sync again, Zotero hangs completely and I need to re-start.

I *believe* this has to do with someone making changes to a shared library I have subscribed to, so I went to the Zotero website and unsubscribed from the suspected library. No luck, though. As it stands I can't sync at all.

Many thanks for your advice or any help you could offer - I searched the forum but couldn't find a thread on my problem!

UPDATE: I clicked through all the 300 sync issues and the problem disappeared!
