Big data (word and zotero)

Hi all,

I have a very big word file, with several thousands of references notes made with Zotero. I want to build a bibliography, but it seems that the data is too large. Word does not work and will close after a few minutes.

Do you have an idea to solve this problem ?

    You don't say so but I suppose that you split your file into chapters and combined the chapters to generate an overall bibliography.

    I can't answer your question but there are experts on this forum who probably can.

    My questions may not have any relevance to your problem but it can't hurt to answer them. How many pages is your document? How many words? Please be more specific about what you mean by "several thousands of references notes"? What is your operating system? How much memory does your computer have? What version of Word? Do you have references in captions to tables or figures?

    It was several years ago but I could work with a Word file on one of my computers (it had extra memory, I don't remember how much) but Word sputtered to a halt on another computer even though the document was only about 200 pages with about 400 references.
