Change from http://doi into doi:

Hi everyone,

I have a question:
How can I change the DOI-reference in my bibliography in a word-document, into doi: 10.109287625/6252 instead of http://doi.org/10.10992883

Thanks a lot for any help!

For which style and where are you preparing the work for?

Many style guides are explicit in encouraging use of the URL. We see this request for APA a lot because their older guidelines used the "doi:" style, but their current recommendations are to use the URL form. Oftentimes, bringing these revised modifications to the attention of whomever is requesting a particular format has been met with "Oh. That is the correct way to do it after all." See, e.g. https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/56714/apa-citation-and-dois/ or https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/54288/apa-6th-edition-doi-issue/ (but this is discussed in several threads here).

If this is a one-off, you could find/replace when your document is complete.

Otherwise, the CSL style will need slight modification (and this is described in the second link).
  • If you are using APA and need the old doi style, there is a version with that format in the Zotero Style Repository:
    http://zotero.org/styles

But as noksagt says, APA recommends using the URL format whenever possible.
