It is highlighting in gray

I'd like to know what I am doing wrong since every time I cite, it highlights the citation down at the bottom in gray.

    It's not actually highlighted, it is just shaded in grey on the display to indicate that it is an automatically-updated text field. The shading won't be visible when printing. The shading is useful to help avoid accidentally manually changing the Zotero citation text (which would prevent automatic updating).
