after firefox refresh attachments (PDF) not found

I refreshed Firefox, then downloaded Zotero. The refresh produced a folder on my Mac desktop (OSX 10.11.6) named Old Firefox Data. From this, I found zotero.sqlite.bak file, which I put into the new Zotero profile data directory.

The libraries are restored but the attachments return a File Not Found error message. I then put the Storage folder from the Old Firefox Data folder into the new Zotero profile data directory folder. But Zotero is still not finding my files.

Advice, please!

place "storage" into the folder "zotero" and this should work.

Uh-oh. I did not see that there is a folder named Zotero in the data directory. I see it has a Storage folder within it.

Because I replaced the (outer) Storage folder with the one in the Old Firefox Data, I may have to rebuild somehow, but don't know how.

I'd try just moving it and see what happens.

I quit Firefox, then moved the Storage folder out of the Zotero folder, saving under a different name on the desktop. Then I moved the Storage folder from the Data Directory folder into the Zotero folder. When I restart Firefox and Zotero, I still get the File Not Found error.

The Data Directory folder has a new Storage folder in it, with a subdirectory called Permanent.

Do you still have the storage folder from the "Old Firefox Data"?
Can you copy that into "zotero", replacing the folder you now copied?
