Office for Mac 64 bit add-in support?

I just saw MS Office for Mac is transitioning to 64-bit soon (http://dev.office.com/mac-office-64-bit-transition), I was wondering if the Zotero add-on will keep working or if there is an update being worked on?

    Now that the 2016 Office applications are all updating themselves to 64 bit, this is becoming a pressing issue for most users, I expect. I haven't updated them yet, but am eager to, because of the reported faster load times. Zotero is my only mission critical add in. Will it work?

    Yes, the existing Mac Word plugin should work fine with 64-bit Office, and does in our testing.
