[Z 5.0] Feed problem with ScienceDirect

The 5.0 feed feature (From Page) works perfectly on some sites but not on others. I am having problems with ScienceDirect feeds for all journals. I am unable to add a feed by URL for all of the ones I've tried. Other intervening actions are needed to add the feed to a new Zotero library. After I worked through a few problems I can say that this will greatly reduce the time and effort needed for me to do my work!

To reproduce the ScienceDirect issue:

Visit the page for Safety Science:
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/09257535

If I try to add the feed From Page a feed for a different journal (Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters) is offered:
http://rss.sciencedirect.com/publication/science/271730

The link behind the ScienceDirect webpage "Get new article feed" opens a new window that allows me to enter a name for the feed. Clicking forward opens still another window with the correct URL
http://rss.sciencedirect.com/publication/science/09257535

Clicking on the URL allows me to subscribe through FireFox live bookmarks. Copying the feed URL and pasting it into the Zotero add feed by URL box doesn't work. I can paste the feed in the URL field but I can neither tab, return, or click to the title field and can only cancel out of the by URL dialog box.

I tried adding the feed from the new FireFox window that controls the live Bookmarks subscription (this window includes the feed items and the feed URL. However, the From Page option is greyed out.

I was finally able to add this feed by opening the FireFox Live Bookmarks window with the journal feed and then adding the Zotero library feed. Now that I know the steps needed to accomplish this through ScienceDirect I can do them but I hope that eventually the number of steps required may be reduced.

It is certainly worth the one-time effort to have the articles automatically brought into my Zotero but I'm not sure everyone will work through the obstacle course.

Also, I should add that the initial appearance of the feed places all key information into the abstract field. However, Once the items are added to a collection within Zotero all of the metadata (with the exception of the language abbreviation) is placed in the proper Zotero fields. The language abbreviations are available in the language field of the RSS.

I hope this helps. I look forward to answering any questions.

I'm using Zotero 5.0-beta-r17+c1f7a18 ; FF 47 Mac 10.11.5 (15F34)

If I try to add the feed From Page a feed for a different journal (Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters) is offered:

You'd have to report that to ScienceDirect. They're just serving an autodiscovery link for the wrong feed. You can see the same behavior with the "Subscribe to This Pageā€¦" option in the Firefox Bookmarks menu.

The rest of their feed functionality for that journal is broken for me via EZproxy (com.elsevier.rss.exception.RssApplicationException trying to load the RSS feed via the proxied URL given in the "Get new article feed, and a hang without), so I'm not able to test further. (The Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry Letters feed works via a proxied URL, though.)
