Is it possible to extract references from the paper and save as a new library?

Hi
I have been writing couple papers using Zotero in my old computer. When moved to another country, I did not save or sync any previous Zotero folders and now I only have the Word-written papers.

Is it possible to create new folders by (somehow) extracting references from the word-paper to my newly installed Zotero standalone?

This is possible using Juris-M, a sync-compatible Zotero variant. The steps to extract references with Juris-M for use in Zotero are here:

(The instructions say to use JM Standalone, but Juris-M for Firefox with the Juris-M integration plugin for your word processor will work just as well.)

that would work if I had a saved library undr another Zotero folder. In my case, I have a paper in Word (somehow internally linked to Zotero) with references but I can not create a new folder in Zotero, bsed on the references in the Word..

Actually this is exactly suited to your predicament. These steps will extract the references from your document, and place them in the (initially empty) shared library that you create for that purpose.
