Zotero Standalone vs. web version

Often, but not always, when I power up Zotero Standalone I'm immediately confronted instead with a "Log In to Zotero" web page. Why is that?

    It's very unlikely that you're getting a Zotero login page when opening Zotero itself.

    If you're seeing a Zotero login page when you save from the browser using the Zotero Connector, it means you're seeing this and chose to enable saving to your online library. You can make sure the Zotero Connector can connect to your local Zotero program with the steps on the linked page.
