saved search "or" selection

Hello I am a newbie so please bare with me.

I would like to filter journal as well as conference papers from a big collection. How can I get "or" functionality such as item_type = journal article "or" item_type = conference paper by using a saved search.

The match "any" is identical to a Boolean "or"
