Zotero breaks e-journal access

I've just found a very annoying bug. After installing the beta, whenever I follow a link from our university's library catalog to an e-journal (being off-campus) I get a "404 not found" page. Normally I would be redirected to a cerberos login page and then to a proxied link to the journal. Disabling Zotero fixes the problem.

link from catalog: http://encompass.library.cornell.edu/cgi-bin/checkIP.cgi?access=gateway_no-med&url=http://ajp.psychiatryonline.org

proxied link: http://ajp.psychiatryonline.org.proxy.library.cornell.edu/

This is a major annoyance and I hope it's easily fixable. Let me know if you need more info. Thank!
  • Has Zotero saved any proxies for you? It might be that something is wrong with them. Try turning off the proxy features in the proxy pref pane. You might also see if you want to remove any of the proxies Zotero has saved.
  • Yes, Zotero has "http://%h.proxy.library.cornell.edu/%p" listed as "multi-site" "configured proxy." And deleting that entry while not un-checking the two boxes solved the problem for now. I.e. the entry in the list is back but the redirects are working. I hope it'll stay this way.
    Thanks for your help!
