Items alwys expand when an item is modified

I have a certain behaviour in Zotero Standalone on (Arch) Linux.

When modify an item field or change a tag of an item in the item pane all the items in the collection pane in the center gets expanded so I need to close them again with minus key. When I quickly work on many items with tag shortcuts (1-6) this becomes extremely annoying.

Does anyone have this behaviour and is there an option in about:conf that would change it?

I think this would only happen if you have an active search that matches those child items — the search is refreshed after certain changes, which results in the items being opened again to display the matching child items. I think you'll find that this doesn't happen in a normal view without an active search/filter.

We can probably do a better job of retaining the open/close state of items, though, so I've created an issue for that.

Thank you for the explanation and the issue. I would appreciate this very much since I mostly work in querry folders.
