I have a decent-sized library, but sync fails every time. I can try to pare down my library to find the offending citation, but I'm hoping its easier for you to just check the logs to find the issue.

The error is for not-well-formed xml, so my guess is there's a stray ampersand somewhere thats isn't getting &-ed

    nevermind that was easier than i thought. here is the offending citation:
    http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1761427

    import that into an empty library, then sync will always fail

    ok yet more info to reproduce the problem, it's related to the automatically attached PDF.
    The unicode em-dash in the title is put into the filename, which seems to be what makes it fail. Renaming the file by hand solves the problem.
