Suggestion -- ACM Portal or CiteSeer-style interlinking

I had originally mentioned this off-handedly, but I would be very interested in Zotero's web libraries developing (or making use of) bibliographic interlinking -- such that (when possible) the citations in a source in one zotero library would link to that source if it has been uploaded either in full or as a citation in someone else's library.

Again, I might be looking forward to 3.0. Perhaps, though, it is a matter of working with some of the databases that already include this functionality. Not sure that citations are currently being scraped by zotero, though.
  • Looking inside items for citations and linking those is a great idea.

We'll be working on some techniques over the coming months for identifying when two or more zotero items (possibly across several user libraries) are referencing the same actual item. When we can do that, we can link to other users who have a given item and a whole lot more.
