Translator error

Could not save item... check translator errors.

When I try to save the page at this url I get a translator error. I am not translating as it is in english and I want to save it in english. I do allow sites to set cookies and only sites I visit to set third party cookies. I do not allow strangers into my house unannounced, nor should anyone. Can you verify that this a an unknown site third party cookie issue or something else?

    It's 7. here: https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues (specifically, the DOI Zotero is picking up is from the EU publishing office, from which we're not currently able to get data). If you just want to save the site, in Chrome or Firefox, click on the arrow next to the folder icon and select "Save to Zotero (Embedded Metadata)" from the dropdown. That works OK.

    Thank you for your prompt response, your suggestion worked great but I haven't had to do that in the past. The translator icon doesn't usually work, eg Zotero pages are not recognized and the icon stays gray. So number 7 never jumped out at me. As for nomenclature, converter seems more accurate than translator for the process it describes. But not to complain, Zotero is a great product that I would have a hard time living without. I have had a lot of trouble lately with third party cookies and assumed that was the issue here. Thank you again.

    PS Usually error doesn't occur for pages from this web site and sometimes it does. What is differrent to cause the translator not to determine format?

    it's the DOI listed on the page that makes the difference.

    I understand what you are saying and what the DOI etc are. But this is a single page from the same web site and same author that I have no trouble saving to Zotero normally. Is it possible the DOI got corrupted? When I checked, the other pages set up zotero to download "Save to Zotero (Embedded Metadata)" and Save to Zotero (DOI)" but only that one page wouldn't save until I manually change it from the DOI option to the Embedded Metadata option. FYI.

    no, it's what I say above -- that DOI is from a registering agency that Zotero doesn't support (yet). You can get DOIs from 8 different agencies. Zotero imports the ones from whare are probably the most common ones (CrossRef and DataCite) but not from the 6 others.

    Just curious now, but why would the same individual blogging under the same category for the same website use several different DOIs? Who does add the DOI? Anyway, thanks again.
