I am getting a "loading items list" but nothing displayed in my library, except sometimes when I use the search box. This is zotero 1.09 on ubuntu ibex. Any ideas?

NS_ERROR_FILE_IS_LOCKED [...] mozIStorageConnection.commitTransaction [...] ERROR: database is locked

Zotero feels that it doesn't have write access to the database. You might want to check file permissions.

indeed yes, although my permissions all seem OK (-rwxrwSrwx) this is on a shared NTFS drive. Working locally I don't have a problem. So it must be permissions, though I don't know why as the problem only just appeared and I haven't changed the setup.
