"Invalid login/pass" and "Username/password not accepted"

Just updated to 1.5 Beta, and now Zotero won't accept my login and password. The sync icon says, "Last error: Invalid login/pass." When I try to log in to http://beta.zotero.org, I get "Username/password not accepted."

Any idea what is going on here? Is this a temporary glitch, or will I have to create a new account?

  • Seems to have been a temporary glitch. It's working now on all of my machines.
  • I used sync without error for two weeks, but now on all machines, after an attempted sync, I get "Last error: Invalid login/pass", BUT I can login using the same uname and pw as I am using right now.

    What gives?

    Wanna sync.

  • Well, goof-boy here figured it out. I had changed my username and had neglected to change it in the Sync preferences. Duh.

    While correcting that eliminated the login problem, it is still curious that I was able to login (repeatedly) to the website using my earlier uname.
