I am working with documents citing both scientific papers and patents. I am using "Journal of the American Chemical Society" style (I have also tried a few others), and when it comes to cite a patent, the citation shows the inventors, title and year of publication, but it fails to show the patent number. Would it be possible to correct this style to include patent number? Would it be also possible (optional) to include the assignee using either full name or short name?
The style is now fixed. You'll need to add the full patent information - e.g. "US Patent 12345678" into the "patent number field". Not ideal but will work. The updated version will appear on the repository within 30mins (check the timestamp). Update your copy of the style by re-installing it from the repository. (See here if you need instructions for installing styles in standalone.)
Styles should also update automatically within 24hs for Zotero 4.0+
Is it posible to mapping somes Zotero fields to unused CSL fields?
attorneyAgent (in roles of patent´s aplicant creator/owner - maybe can be changed name of this field in Zotero or add new item) -> containerAuthor
fillingDate -> submitted
issuingAuthoritiy -> publisher
legalStatus -> status
For ISO 690 we need variables in CSL for country (or code of country) and official designation of the series.
ISO Standard 690:2010(E), Information & Documentation - Guidelines for Bibliographic References and Citations to Information Resources, section 15.9 recommends patents be cited similar to a contribution within a journal. The first element listed should be the name of the applicant creator, followed by the title of the patent. The country name or code and the official designation of the series within which the patent resource is numbered should follow. The patent serial number should suffice as numeration.
ISO examples:
Douglass, Elias B. Cow Milker. US Patent 361,213. 1887.
Philip Morris, Inc. Optical Perforating Apparatus and System. European patent application 0021165 A1. 1981-01-07.
Winget Ltd. Detachable Bulldozer Attachment for Dumper Vehicles. Inventor: Reginald John England. 8 March 1967. Appl: 10 June 1963. Int. Cl: E02F 3/76. GB Cl: E1F12. GB Patent Specification 1060631.

Changes over the current official Zotero panel are:
(1) Remove Place, Country, Issuing Authority, References, and Legal Status;
(2) Add Jurisdiction and Priority Date; and
(3) Move Assignee to Recipient as a first-class creator.
Should anything be restored, rearranged or added?

Thanks in advance,
Do you have any documentation how patents should look in ACS style?
We've implemented patent support only in a small number of styles - IEEE would be one example.

I think we can/should do at least most of this
