Editing a Citation Style (Chicago Manual Style

Hello i am aphd candidate at international economics. i am writing my thesis but our thesis style does not fit any basic style. I found that it has %89 similarity to Chicago Manual of Style 16th edition (full note)
i wanted to edit and create my own style but i had no idea about editing and after i searched the zotero web site about that i found a lot of instruction about editing bu i have no ability of software programming i want some help please.

İ.e:
Author:Robert C. Allen
Title of book: Global Economic History: A very short introduction
Edition: 2. Baski
Published place: Oxford, New York
Publisher: Oxford University press
Publishing year:2011

Like a book above this is what zotero gave me [Chicago Manual of Style 16th edition (full note)] for footnote:

Robert C. Allen, Global Economic History: A Very Short Introduction, 2. baski (Oxford ; New York: Oxford University Press, 2011).

And This i what i want for a footnote:

Robert C. Allen, Global Economic History: A Very Short Introduction 2. Basim. Oxford ; New York: Oxford University Press, 2011, s.(i.e 45).

How can i make it happen please help me. Thanks.
  • I'd recommend working with the visual editor on the page where you identified the most similar style in the first place, i.e. http://editor.citationstyles.org/visualEditor/
While we can help if you run into very specific issues, I don't think anyone here will have the time to walk you through style edits one by one, sorry.

is it possible to what i wanted to do?
  • it's certainly possible, yes.
  • ok. for example:
i want to change "2nd ed" to "2.(something)" how can i make it?
  • you already have 2. baski in the example above -- Zotero handles ordinal numbers automatically in different locales. You'll just have to either change the term for edition in the locale or just put in "Basim" as a suffix if you want a quick&easy solution.
