restoring zotero data after firefox refresh

great piece of advice. now i have located the 'old firefox folder'. now trying to do what i was instructed to do by the link above, i have not been able to rename the zotero.sqlite to zotero.sqlite.old. it tells me that the file is in use on firefox. i actually close the firefox before doing that. what happened was that, in my panic mood i restarted recreating a new folder before i noticed the notification sent to me. new what can i do. is there a place for rewriting over the old zotero.sqlite? please i need urgent help. thanks

    Make sure that Firefox is actually closed -- it may take a moment for all processes to end (check in task manager). You'd then definitely be able to rename the file.
