downloading plug in for Microsoft word

When I try and download the plugin for Microsoft Word for the Standalone Zotero or Firefox version it says:

"Installation could not be completed because an error occurred. Please ensure that Microsoft Word is closed, and then restart Firefox".

I don't have any word docs open on my windows machine.

Any help much appreciated.

    That'd typically be a permissions issue for your Word startup folder then. Make sure the account you're using has write permissions to the startup folder
