Conditional display of date of conference/meeting
Hallo every body,
here is an example of citation for conference papers/speech from http://www.water-alternatives.org/index.php/guide:
---------------------------------
Conference papers (with proceedings)
Heyns, P.S.H. 2004. Strategic and technical considerations in the assessment of transboundary water management with reference to southern Africa. In Proceedings of the International Expert Workshop on Water, Development and Cooperation, pp. 120-134. Bonn, Germany, 27 February 2004.
Frederick, K.D. 1993. Adaptive responses to climate change: Demand management. In Ballentine, T.M. and Stakhiv, E.Z. (Eds), Proceedings of the First National Conference on Climate Change and Water Resources Management, pp. IV/54-60. Alexandria, VA, US: Institute for Water Resources.
Conference papers (no proceedings), unpublished reports
Meinzen-Dick, R.; Mendoza, M.; Sadoulet, L.; Abiad-Shields, G. and Subramanian, A. 1994. Sustainable water user associations: Lessons from a literature review. Paper presented at the World Bank Water Resources Seminar, Lansdowne, Virginia, US, 13-15 December 1994.
National Irrigation Administration (NIA). 1986. Irrigation water management: Precluding activities, requirements and practices. Quezon City, The Philippines: NIA. Mimeo.
---------------------------------
How you can see, if a conference (or meeting) has full date, than must be full date shown as last part of citation. But if has only year, than this item is not (again) shown on the end of citation. I do not know, how it can be coded in CSL. Possible way is use of event-date, but this item is not implement in Zotero. Any suggestion?

adamsmithas you suspect, testing for date parts isn't possible in CSL. Personally I'd assume full dates, so always render it. Definitely for presentations (i.e. the last two), but I'd also say for paper-conference.
-
LiborAO.K. is it possible to add event-date to the Zotero?
-
adamsmithoh yes, that'll definitely happen -- it just has the same issue as all other field updates, i.e. can't happen before Zotero 5
-
LiborAedited February 24, 2016thanks Adam, is any roadmap of new version of Zotero?
-
adamsmithno, but the basics are pretty simple: 5.0: switch sync architecture (and some other related changes and additions). 5.1 implement field type changes.
