Sync stopped by "too long" error in abstract field
Good day,
Love the product and have been enjoying it thoroughly but ran into a little problem with the sync option. When I add a journal article to my database I like to copy and paste the abstract into the appropriate field. Problem is abstracts are usually a paragraph long and when the data base goes to sync it kicks out a "too Long" error as soon as it hits a article with one. I've been adding abstracts to my database since I started using zotero before 1.5 came out so going back and removing them now would be a big labor intensive job I'd rather not do. I'm assuming a limit was placed on field size in the sync server to prevent people from abusing text box size which is understandable. Since abstracts are never included in citations I really don't need to back them up outside of my main computer. What I was curious about was , in a future version could and option be included to choose what fields overall get synced as a blanket command so that certain fields can be ignored when sync goes through the database. This would solve the problem since I could tell it to only sync the ones I really need backed up (title, author name, journal name etc) while ignoring others that I don't need such as the abstract field.
Thank you for your help

We'll likely be adding some sort of preflight check to a future version that will alert you to problems like this when syncing.
