Autologin to various journals websites

Hello,
I have used Zotero for quite a while now and visited some papers website (e.g. http://ieeexplore.ieee.org) I was automatically logged in using the proxy from my university. IIRC when I first installed Zotero I was asked, after a first manual login, I was asked by Zotero if I want this setup.

Now I reinstalled my system including Zotero and I do not get this question anymore. How can I reenable that feature, so that I do not have to manually login to sites my university provides access to?
  • This feature only works in Zotero for Firefox, so first make sure you are not using Zotero Standalone. Then in the Zotero Preferences, open the Proxies tab and make sure that the redirect function is enabled.

    Hello,
Sorry for the late reply, had a bit of stress. I am using the Firefox plugin and I did enable redirect, but it does not seem to make any difference. Popup blocking is disabled.

    I use:
    Firefox 44.0.2 on Ubuntu
    Zotero 4.0.28.10

I also use Ghostery, but I had that on my old system too and it did not make a difference.
  • OK, some news. It seems Zotero recognises the Proxy when I go through the website of my library but not on ieeexplore or similar sites.
