add one tag to more multiple publications at one time

Is there a way to add one tag to more then one publications at the same time?
When I select/highlight multiple publications the tag-window is not shown.

Yes, you can drag multiple items onto an existing tag in the tag selector on the left. You can also mass assign colored tags using the number key corresponding to the tag.
