Zotero Standalone not working with Safari

The Zotero Connector wasn't working on my Safari toolbar so I uninstalled Zotero standalone and reinstalled. The reinstallation went fine, but I do not have the extension now. I have an iMac and OS X El Capitan, 10.11.3.

Same. I also restarted both browser and Zotero, but it's always greyed out. Thinking of quitting using Zotero. Please help.

My Zotero Connector in Safari is greyed out and work either. I have an macBook Pro and am running OX X El Capitan 10.11.5
Please assist.

no - its active

It's only active on supported pages. Elsewhere use right-click/ctrl+click --> Save Zotero Snapshot.
