Email DNS extension not accepted : *.quebec

Hi,

at this URL : https://www.zotero.org/settings/account

I tried to add my email address with the extension : *.quebec

Like many server, this occur when the list of ICANN is not updated.

Would you please update your DNS list.

Regards,
  • I thought that this occurs automatically-- I know that this is done automatically on my site. Could you have entered an accented "é"? Québec as a TLD is not accepted on my site but .quebec is accepted.

This is just about an overly restrictive email validation regexp — a number of users have reported it since the new TLDs launched. Faolan would know the current status.
  • .quebec domain works fine for me. We're no longer attempting to validate that TLDs are real.
  • dmercier, could you say the exact error message you're receiving? As fcheslack says, I can enter any domain at that URL (including ones with é) and it works fine.
  • In a pink header :
    "Could not add email address"

I have yet 3 email address. I want to add a 4th and after delete 2. At the end I want 2 email address
  • It's almost certainly that the address is already associated with another account.

The error isn't particularly useful because we were still trying to treat email addresses as mostly confidential which we worry less about now.
