Hard Drive Crashed. Question on repopulating Zotero

I have all my data backed up on Zotero so if I install a new drive and download Zotero will it repopulate based off the information stored on the Zotero cloud?

My fear is that it might sync the blank (newly installed Zotero) over that which is stored on the cloud?

Is there anything I need to be aware of before I do this?

I defend my Ph.D in less than a month but the citations are all built using Zotero.

    Nope, that won't happen. Zotero only syncs explicit deletions, so you can just sync normally and Zotero will pull down your server data.
