all citation styles truncate author list

When I select a citation and then select Copy Bibliography from the menu, the formatted citation contains only the first few authors and then 'et al.' in place of the remaining authors. This happens only on articles with very long author lists. I thought this was due to the citation style (in this case Molecular Plant Pathology) so I tried several other styles. I always get a truncated list of authors. Is this a bug in Zotero? how can I get the properly formatted full list of authors for these citations?
  • It's not a bug in Zotero, you have just not tried the right styles. E.g. https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=no%20%22et%20al.%22 gives you some styles that print complete author lists (there are many more, these were just easiest to find).

That said, the fact that MPP uses et al looks like a mistake in that style to me. We'll fix that.

I tried one from that list and it works fine. I guess I just had bad luck when I tried different styles. If you update the MPP file, will it update automatically in my zotero or will I have to re-download it?
    Thanks!
  • it will auto-update.
