APA Bibliography item with URL missing final full stop (= 'period' in US)

Am using Firefox (43.0) on Linux (Linux Mint 17.3) with the Zotero add-on for Firefox.
When I copy a bibliographic entry using Engish UK in APA 6th edition style to the Clipboard and then paste anywhere from the Clipboard, all entries ending with a URL are not terminated by a full stop.
All other bibliographic item types that do not have a URL are correctly terminated with a full stop.

Bug? Or have I missed a setting somewhere?
Cheers
  • I'll have to double check with the actual manual, but I'm pretty sure (and online sources like https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/10/ or http://uri.libguides.com/c.php?g=42326&p=268189 support that) APA requires not to use periods after URLs and DOIs, since both can break if you include a period at the end (it's actually a very sensible rule).
  • Yes, no full stop after URLs or DOIs
  • Thanks. Double checked the APA Guide to Electronic References, 6th ed. There should be no full stops after a URL.
    Thanks
