Wrong document types with Primo 4.9

Hello,

I recently discovered that resources signaled in our catalog as thesis or movies are imported into Zotero as "documents", while the icon that appears is a book in both cases.

Here is the URL of our catalog is http://primo-prod.u-paris10.fr/primo_library/libweb/action/search.do
Here is an example of a thesis: http://primo-prod.u-paris10.fr/UPON:default_scope:SCD_ALEPH000546633
And a movie: http://primo-prod.u-paris10.fr/UPON:library_scope:SCD_ALEPH000539287

Our ILS is Aleph (Ex Libris) and our Discovery Tool is Primo (Ex Libris too), version 4.9 (released November 2015). Do you know if and how that problem can be fixed ? Is the problem with Zotero or with Primo (or even Aleph) ?

Thank you very much !
  • For primo the icon is always a book, even if it is actually an article. The correct item type is then only be calculated when you click on the button. This will request the data in PNX format and is therefore taking some time (which we don't want to spent for just rendering the correct icon).

The problems in the metadata extracted by Zotero are connected to your item types in primo:

    <display>
    <type>dissertation_upon</type>
<title>Les espaces publics au prisme de l'art à Johannesburg (Afrique du Sud) : quand la ville fait œuvre d'art et l'art œuvre de ville</title>
    <creator>Guinard, Pauline</creator>

The type here "dissertation_upon" seems to be your own item type for dissertation (maybe in your repository?). The movie has item type "dvd" which we don't know at the moment, but we can add "dvd" to recognized that as well.

Moreover, we can fix also the theses if we also look at the ristype in addata-section:
    <ristype>THES</ristype>
I will try to submit a fix for that. Any further missing item type with example could help me. Thus, if you see anything similar, let me know.
  • zuphilip's fix is now up.

Your version of Zotero will automatically update within 24hs, or you can update manually using the "Update Now" button in the "General" tab of the Zotero preferences. If you're using Standalone, restart Zotero and your browser after updating.

Any further problems let us know & thanks for reporting
