Upgrade StorageStorage, syncing: change to storing citations only
I think this process is fairly clear from the documentation, but I don't want to mess up.
Up until now, I've synced my entire library, including attachments. But I never use the online version, and this year I cannot anyway afford the charge for necessary space on Zotero-cloud (sorry...).
What steps do I take to change my online Zotero backup so it contains only the citation information, and so that the attachments are removed in the correct fashion?

adamsmithThe main step would be to just disable file sync in your Zotero locally. If you want to, you can then also selecte "purge storage" on https://www.zotero.org/settings/storage but that's really only necessary if you want to free up the space for something else. Otherwise the existing files will just stay there and once your storage runs out, Zotero will automatically remove files above 300MB after about 1 month I think. But those, too, will only be removed online. Nothing will ever get deleted from your local Zotero.
