Zotero extension for LibreOffice appears to be missing

I go to this link http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/zotero-libreoffice-integration/releases

Nothing is there to download. How do I add the plugin to libreoffice 5.03?
  • It is shipped as a Firefox add-on and comes pre-installed in Zotero Standalone:
    https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_installation#libreoffice
  • Thank you. I stated my question poorly. I'm having trouble installing the plugin / extension in libreoffice. No problem with plugin for browser. The link on the libreoffice extension page does nothing.
  • my point is that you shouldn't be on that page in the first place and you shouldn't be trying to install anything in LibreOffice directly. Zotero handles the installation by itself.

Which Zotero version are you using?
  • right, but standalone or firefox add-on?
  • OK, good. So have you followed my link above and installed the LibreOffice add-on Firefox extension, too?
And if so, what exactly isn't working? No toolbar in LibreOffice?
  • Yes. No toolbar and the extension under the tools tab in libreoffice. I installed the add on for Firefox. But when I try to add the extension for libreoffice from the Zotero Firefox Page nothing is there.

Sorry, I feel like we're still talking past each other.

Let's try two different routes to get at this:
    1.
But when I try to add the extension for libreoffice from the Zotero Firefox Page nothing is there.
could you say what you mean by that? Which page is that referring to? And what do you mean by nothing is there? Do you get a failed download? Can you not find the right link?

Again -- forget the extension page you're linking to. You don't need it; I'm not even sure why it exists. If you're trying to do something there, you're in the wrong place already.

    2.
could you go to the add-ons screen in Firefox and list all the add-ons you have listed there? (you can also take a screenshot, post it somewhere and link to it from here).
  • I'm sorry I'm not clear. I'm frustrated because I've used the zotero plugin in libreoffice for years.

Here is my problem. What do I have to do to install the zotero extension into libreoffice? Libreffice was crashing when I tried to put in citations using zoter. so I removed the zotero extension and reloaded the "stable version" of libre office.
Zotero is not in my libreoffice menus bar and it is not listed under the plugins and extensions.

    Now what do I do?
  • You make sure "Zotero LibreOffice Integration" is listed under your addons is Firefox. If it is not, you re-install it via the link from my post above (make sure you're installing a Firefox add-on from zotero.org. As I said, don't do anything in LibreOffice or on the libreoffice website).

If it is installed in Firefox, go to the Zotero preferences (again, of the Firefox add-on), Cite tab, and click on "Reinstall LibreOffice Add-on"
Then try restarting LibreOffice and see if you have the toolbar.
  • It worked. Thank you for your helpful explanation.
