Malware Notification by 360 Total Security

I received a report today from the security software I use that said a malware file was embedded in a Zotero.exe file and they removed it. Did my security get over zealous on me? Now I can't use my shortcut and the Zotero Stand Alone Software Icon is gone in my programs listing. Is there a quick fix other than reloading? I'm in the middle of finals. :( Thanks!
  • Regarding my post just now: The file quarantined was:

    HEUR/QVM10.1.Malware.Gen

    C:\Program Files\Zotero Standalone\Zotero.exe
  • Yeah, if you're looking at the code, it's a heuristic for a generic malware pattern they think to have identified. It's indeed a false positive (provided you have downloaded zotero from zotero.org, of course; that's the only code we can guarantee for).
