how to recognize citation style or edit Vancouver and change () to [] ?

hi,

Can Zotero recognize a style?

My work must be written like this:

1. Lahita R, Kluger J, Drayer DE, Koffler D, Reidenberg MM. Antibodies to nuclear antigens in patients treated with procainamide or acetylprocainamide. N Engl J Med 1979; 301: 1382-1385.

and I need to cite it in this way:

"Until this moment there have been only one article in which authors mentioned antigens in patients treated with procainamide or acetylprocainamide [1]."

When I use IEEE it adds a number in a square bracket but citation style is not as I need,

on the other hand when I use Vancouver it is very similar to desired citation style but:

citations are in regular bracket and and minor differences are between styles ( instead of " N Engl J Med 1979; 301: 1382-1385" I receive "N Engl J Med. 20 december 1979;301(25):1382–5" so day and month should be deleted, a numer (25) and pages should not be shortened

how can I done this?

please help,

best regards

  • There is a tool that allows you to identify a style matching your needs among the more than thousand available for Zotero here:
    http://editor.citationstyles.org/searchByExample/
If needed, it will also allow you to modify the style, though I think you should be able to find something matching your needs.
  • I have just found that the style I need is Nature Publishing Group Vancouver but it cites as small number and I need a number in square bracket
  • thank you very much for all your help and patience !!

    it all worked out,

    best regards!!
