How to sort in-text citations by year instead of alphabetically?

Hi,

I have the problem, that in my word document, all the in-text citations are ordered alphabetically, if I have more than 1 citation. For example it is:
(Levy et al. 2004, Orton et al. 2001). I instead need it ordered by year, ignorating the alphabetical order:
(Orton et al. 2001, Levy et al. 2004).
Could someone explain me how to do that in a word file with already existing citations?
Thanks a lot!
  • Sort order depends on the CSL style that you choose. You'd need to select a different style (or modify your current one).
  • okay, thanks. but I´ve chosen the style of aquatic toxicology which is the one i need. and everything is exactly as I wish (in the reference list), apart from this alphabetical sorting problem... no other way to do it??
  • we'll have a fix for that shortly (some time before the weekend). I'll let you know when it's up.
