double metadata download

Hi, got a bit of weird behaviour. When I have a pdf open in Firefox and I click download, then select 'Save to Zotero' and 'Retrieve Metadata for PDF' it happens twice. I get the little pop-up in the bottom right hand corner, but there are two pdfs. One succeeds and I get the, for instance journal article with pdf attached, the other fails and I just get the journal article.
Very odd.

yes, I think that's universally the case. I'm seeing the same. There are two other threads on this, but can't find those right now (and they don't have anything helpful, either).
