Insane error message
I cannot insert a citation, which I just downloaded using Zotero, into my paper.
I have no idea how to solve this problem. The error message says:
"The Zotero field code corresponding to this citation, which tells Zotero which item in your library this citation represents, has been corrupted. Would you like to reselect the item?
Clicking "no" will delete the field codes for citations containing this item preserving the citation text but potentially deleting it from your bibliography."
In fact, clicking either "yes" or "no" leads to a complete dead end. Nothing will induce the citation to insert. This new citation is but the 4th I have entered into a new collection. What the heck is it talking about and how do I fix it?
As always, thanks for your help!

Otherwise, see https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#debugging_broken_documents
which should be quick with just 4 citations.
(FWIW, while it's clearly not good that you're having problems and that shouldn't happen, I don't really see what's insane about the error message. It's an accurate description of the problem).
Many thanks.
