ScienceDirect has gone haywire, and fairly recently

I noticed today that I'm not getting PDFs associated with ScienceDirect journals that my company subscribes to. Just as a check, I went back and re-Zotero-ed a paper from Drug Discovery Today that I'd already filed back in November (when it was a preprint - now it's in the main issue). Sure enough, the only attachment I get is the "ScienceDirect Snapshot", and no PDF, although it downloaded fine back on 11/14. Thoughts?

It has apparently gotten worse now. I have been saving citations from ScienceDirect regularly until yesterday. Suddenly, today I get the error message saying 'could not save' and 'check translator ..', even though zotero is able to recognize it as ScienceDirect.

I tried everything in the link that came up to resolve translator issues (update everything, reset translators) without success.

    Update:
This problem only exists only with certain pages/articles on ScienceDirect like this one:
    http://www.sciencedirect.com/science?_ob=ArticleURL&_udi=B6VNG-4JNF08B-5&_user=513528&_coverDate=03%2F31%2F2007&_rdoc=10&_fmt=high&_orig=browse&_srch=doc-info(%23toc%236178%232007%23999339996%23643905%23FLA%23display%23Volume)&_cdi=6178&_sort=d&_docanchor=&_ct=43&_acct=C000025359&_version=1&_urlVersion=0&_userid=513528&md5=df5b10c3627d270b45f33c81cf105112

I was able to save a few other articles including the associated pdfs with no problems.
  • I am having the same problem. ScienceDirect worked fine for months, then, suddenly started having translator issues.

nitesh, can you give an example ScienceDirect url that actually works?

    Thanks.
