Zotero Standalone will not start

Zotero Standalone v4.0.28.7 will not start, it was working ok last time I used it a couple of days ago and as far as I know nothing has changed. I have tried opening zotero.exe directly and via the command line without success. I can find nothing on the Forum that seems to offer a solution.

I have the Firefox and Chrome plug-ins installed. I can see the library from the Firefox plugin.

Can I uninstall and reinstall the standalone version without losing data, is that likely to solve the problem?

  • Re-installing doesn't delete anything, but chances are it won't help. Do you get no error message at all?
