MS Word 2016

Hi,
I have recently downloaded Zotero and had been using it with Word 2016. I did some work, Zotero worked like a dream.

I noticed that my computer didn't shut down because Word asked me if I wanted to save the normal file. Not sure what I clicked but now I don't have Zotero in Word and Word keeps opening with a new document, I'm now on 17 and can't find 1-16! Firefox says the plug in is installed but there is no zotero tab and I can't find it. Can anyone help please?

    Mac or Windows? And you've tried restarting your computer?

    Windows 10. I have just ignored the warning and restarted the computer and Zotero is there again. Any thoughts on what went wrong?

    macros (like the Zotero buttons) are stored as part of a template inside Word. For some reason your Word didn't use the original anymore and you lost the toolbar.
    I've been having weird normal.dotm experiences on and off, so I can't tell you much beyond that, though.
