RTF/ODF

Good day,

I am new to Zotero and enjoy it. I need to put some of the primary authors in my Bibliography but does not know how to do it. Can you please give me the full steps on how I must do it.
  • sorry, I don't understand the question at all, nor how it relates to RTF/ODF (if at all). Could you explain in a bit more detail what you're trying to do?
  • My apologies for not been clear. I want to add some of the primary citations in a paper i am writing. I understand that there is a way to do it by creating my own bibliography. Can you please explain the process in adding them to the main bibliography. This is now the citations in sentences which are not part of the main bibliography. It is just the name of the author and the published document. I read in some forums that there is a way to do it but it is making use of the old versions
  • sorry, still not quite clear. By "primary citations" do you mean citations of primary sources? And if so, do you need them in a separate bibliography or as part of the general one?
And are you already using Zotero in the document in question using the word processor add-on, or is that what you're asking about?

An example of what you'd like would likely help.
  • Good day Adam
You 100% I want to add my primary sources in the bibliography. Zotero does not recognize them as they are part of the the PDF document. I would like to know is there a process to add them my example.
"The term supply chain is defined in this research as the network of organisations, which are involved through upstream and downstream linkages (Christopher, 1998 cited in Peck, 2005). But the document is in PDF and the author is Kandwame OwusuSarpong. I would like to add Christopher to the Bibliography or citation. I would like to know the path to follow.
  • if I understand correctly, you can first try using right-click --> Retrieve Metadata for the PDF. If that doesn't work use right-click --> Create Parent Item and fill the information in manually.
Then you can cite normally e.g. using the word processor add-on:
