Favor items from center pane in Quick Format Citation dialog
When I write papers, I often have a collection selected in Zotero that contains the paper(s) I want to cite. But when I search for papers in the Quick Format Citation dialog in my word processor, no special treatment seems to be given to papers in the selected collection.
I think it would be nice if the search scoring could favor hits that appear in the center column of Zotero (either because a collection has been selected, or because the number of items has been reduced via Quick Search).

RintzeAs a concrete example, if I search for "Chen" in the Quick Format Citation dialog, the top 7 results all happen to be papers for which the first author is "Chen". However, only the 7th search result exists in my currently selected Zotero collection, so ideally this one should be the 1st search result.

bwiernikIn a similar way, it would be nice if there were an option to insert the currently selected item from the client into the citation.

adomasvenThere's various issues regarding improving the citing interface and search results, but no timeline at the moment.

dstillmanI actually don't think the Quick Format dialog should take into account selections in the main interface — that seems a bit too loosely coupled to me. I think what @bwiernik suggests makes more sense for that.

Rintze@dstillman, works for me. Can I convince you to open a ticket, or is this already sufficiently on the radar? The only mention I could find on GitHub was by @bwiernik at https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/1223#issuecomment-299050989.

adomasvenI've added a note to the relevant issue on github https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/1349
