Progress indicator that shows tasks being done

This always happen to me that I dont know what zotero is doing at any time. for example sometimes saving a pdf takes time but the progress indicator does not show it and I have to wait for sometime to make sure that zotero is not busy with something so that I can give it a new task.
I dont think it is very difficult. Just put some indicator that Zotero is busy or job done or something else.
Thanks for the magnificent Zotero.
