Constant syncing, freezing up

Dear Friends,Zotero is great and I have only one question. When I go into Zotero to do work, it will sometimes go into what looks like a sync mode (On a Macbook it looks like the little rainbow circle where the cursor would normally be). It will do this for about 30 secs. Then, when I go to work again, it will do the same for about 15 secs. After that, work is fine until the next go around. Can someone help with this? It disrupts work enough to make it difficult.

This happens, at this point, every couple minutes making Zotero very difficult to use.

    Does this go away when you disable automatic syncing in the sync tab of the Zotero preferences?

    Do you have any add-ons installed? If so, try disabling those and see if that fixes the issue.
