Cannot edit citations. I want to insert page number.

Hi,

I'm trying to edit my citation because I want to add a page number but the options are greyed out. When I try the 'more' option I get this warning, 'This document does not contain any editable citations, Citations must be formatted to use the Edit Citation tool'. The citations seems to be linked to Zotero because it has a grey highlight when I place the cursor over it.

How do I enable editable citations?

I'm using:
Firefox 41.0.1
Word for Mac 2011 14.1.3

    Did you insert the citations using "insert citation" in the Zotero Word add-on?

    Hi!

    Yups, I added the citations from word.

    I used to be able to edit my citations but I had 'removed codes' for one document and now it seems I can't edit citations even if I start a new document. I think the fields are still linked because it is highlighted in grey.

    I'm not sure what I've done here.

    Obviously this doesn't work after remove fieldcodes in that same document, but that shouldn't affect other documents.

    Can you insert a bibliography in the new document where you say this also isn't working?

    Have you tried moving the cursor into a citation before clicking that button?

    Hey thanks, I figured it out whilst I was trying to insert bibliography.

    I had both Zotero and Endnote installed and realised I was trying to edit Zotero citations via Endnotes. Duh! I got it now. Thanks!
