Simple way to locate number of items in a folder

Hello. Can someone remind me whether there is a way to see an item count for the number of items in a single folder? (To avoid having to count on screen, that is.) I think there must be a way but I'm not able to locate it. Very grateful for the assistance.

  • Cmd-A/Ctrl-A and look in the right-hand pane

Pressing the "-" (minus key) first might be helpful to collapse all parent items.

Select all (Ctrl + A in Windows) will show the item count in right column. To count only top level items, make sure you've collapsed the tree, by hitting the minus key.
  • Thank you both!
