Standalone freezes when making a change to an entry

When I edit an entry, I get the little wheel, and I have to force quit Zotero (Force quit marks it as not responding and in red).

I am using Safari and Zotero standalone.

Do you have other extensions installed in Zotero? If so, try disabling them.

If not, does this happen immediately after an edit, or 15 seconds later? What kind of edit triggers this?

I have Better BibTex added. It happens about 15 seconds after an edit. It happened also when I had disabled automatic synching.

I'll try disabling Better BibTex if it happens again.

Better BibTeX has had very extensive performance work done in the past 6 weeks or so; unless you are exporting tens of thousands of references, BBT should not introduce any noticeable lag anymore (once the cache is warm).

About 15 seconds after an edit could in principle be caused a a big BBT auto-export set of for "on idle", but again, the new caching system should largely take care of that.
