Upgrade StorageStandalone Full Screen Problem in Mac El Capitan
I have updated to Mac El Capitan and have the latest Zotero Standalone installed.
1. Tried using the new screen snap facility to put Standalone next to Word.
2. I closed Word and Standalone went to full screen. I could not get the Toolbar to appear and cannot get Standalone to escape full screen mode.
3. In other words Standalone is stuck in full screen mode.
4. Now everytime I start Standalone it opens in full screen mode. With no toolbar and red, amber, green buttons. I have to close it using the dock Icon in another window, and have no way to update Standalone without uninstalling and reinstalling.

sounds similar, if not exactly the same. Solution is almost certainly the same and I'd assume the fix that Dan is working on will fix your issue, too.
